Solve : Installed new motherboard & have PCI slot problems, need help bad.?

Answer»

Hi, I bought a new GeForce6100SM-M motherboard, AMD Athlon 64 X 2 3800+, 1024 mb DDR2 memory and installed it in my emachines pc to replace a fried board. My problem is the pci wont reconize my modem. Is there something in the bios that I need to set up? I looked around in the Bios SETTINGS & couldn't really make heads of tails of much of anything. I tried everything I knew to do & finally loaded the fail safe settings.

Here is my PNP/PCI settings:

Init Display First: (PCI Slot)
PNP OS Installed: NO ( i can't modify this)
IRQ Resources:(Press Enter)

PCI/VGA Palette Snoop: (Disabled)
Assign IRQ for VGA: (Enabled) ( i can't modify this)
Assign IRQ for USB: (Enabled)

**PCI Express realitive items**
Maximum PAYLOAD Size (4096)

I have XP installed and I am using onboard video. Im not too smart on PC's and I THANK You for any help you can give me. Do you know what resources your PC is using now?
Have you tried assigning resources manually to the modem?
Have you tried installing any drivers yet?

Tell us more information about the modem.
