Answer» alright IM trying to add the hard drive i had in the computer downstairs to the one im at now so i have 120 gig hard drive but the second hard drive is not being detecteddid u plug it in? how?The jumpers need to be reset on both HDD's for it to work. The existing HDD in your machine should be jumpered to master with slave present and connected to the end of the ribbon cable on IDE1 The HDD you are adding needs to be jumpered as slave and connected to the middle CONNECTOR on IDE1I connected them that way, the existing hardrive as the master (end of the connector) and the second one as the slave (middle of connector) but it still wasnt detected.Is it detected by the BIOS ? ? What OS are you RUNNING on that machine ? ? What OS was on the downstairs machine ? ? As Fed SAID on Monday, the crystal ball is in the shop...Have you tried setting them both to Cable Select?
