Solve : Installing a Secondary SATA Hard Drive??

Answer»

I bought a new SATA HARD Drive, and I want it to be secondary to my first hard drive. After I connected the device to my computer, how do I install it so I could see it in the "My Computer" folder? I'm also having problems setting it up on the Bios. Is your first hard drive IDE or SATA? What is the make and model of your computer or motherboard? Do you have some documentation on the BIOS of your system? Have you visited the website of your computer or motherboard manufacturer for info? Your OS?

Can you tell if the drive is spinning when you turn on your computer? Did your computer do anything different when you first turned it on after installing this SATA drive? If you have 2 Sata drives?. Your Mobo should indicate sata 1 and sata 2 connection by each of the CONTROLLERS on the mobo, which ever you want to be the master USE sata 1,

The drivers need to be installed and the drive needs to be partitioned/formatted before Windows will recognise it...use the CD that shipped with the drive,
