Solve : Installing more ram?

our newly built PC is running on Vista-64 bit and some reason it's only running on 1gb. When we PUT in another stick it goes insane and everything STOPS working. When we put in more, nothing even shows up on the MONITOR.

if u need the specs-

intel core2 quad 2.4 ghz
asus p5n32 sli DELUXE motherboard
nvidia geforce 8800 gts 640mb
1000 watt coolmax psu

what do i need to do to install more ram sticks on my pc.Are you using compatible ram - DDR2 SDRAM - 533-667mhz - max 16GB - and installed chipset drivers?

i dont know....i know were using ddr2.....
