Answer» Hi all,
I am currently trying to create a workstation in my room with the use of multiple monitors. I have already purchased 2x Asus VS228H-P Monitors to kick start this project. I have 1x VGA and 1x HDMI inputs into my laptop. I was just wondering if it is possible to run both of my monitors with my single laptop (connecting one monitor via VGA and the other via HDMI). If both monitors are connected, I don't plan on using my laptop's display.
I have also looked into external video cards and other forms of hardware (ie. Matrox dualhead2go), and as these options can be quite pricey, I am looking for a WAY to avoid shelling out 1 to 2 bills. I don't plan on doing any intense gaming or video/picture editing, just a university student using WORD, powerpoint, onenote etc. and occasional facebook/youtube. A bit of my computer info is listed below:
Computer info: - Lenovo Y650 Ideapad laptop - Video card: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family (1759 MB) - Operating System: Windows VISTA - Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.53Ghz
Thank you all for your help,
Cheers
