Solve : Intel Processor Core 2 Duo 2.66?

Answer»

Can anyone tell me why these two processors have such a huge price difference?
They SEAM to be exactly the same to me, short of the different FSB.

The differences are as follows: the 6750 has a higher FSB (1333 vs 1066), lower multiplier (8x vs 10x), higher voltage (0.962 - 1.350 V vs 0.85 - 1.3525 V)
It's also ALMOST a year newer.
Seems to be the replacement for the E6700, which would explain the odd pricing.thanks Calum.

The price difference just seamed REALLY strange.

also, the prices seam to be backwards, i would assume that the newer MODEL would be less EXPENSIVE, however that does not seam to be the case.

i guess that clears it up Quote

The newer model is less expensive.
E6750 is $219.99, E6700 is $317.

Anyway, you're welcome, glad I could help.
