Answer» I was wondering if a INTERNAL CD drive could be "rigged" to be used outside the computer, without buying an external CD drive? Could a USB port be "rigged" to hook into the IDE port?I imagine you could use a HDD conversion kit on a CD drive. Take a look at some of the kits available.External cases for ATAPI DEVICES are available, they have a USB2 to ATAPI ADAPTER and mounting for a 140mm (5.25in) form FACTOR device and a power supply connection.
