Answer» I have a Dell Vostro 400 mini tower with Vista OS. A few problems going on; first computer will not post. The Dell start up screen comes up but will not hand off to Windows OS. Problem number two; I can't use the keyboard to get into BIOS because the USB keyboard doesn't work in any of the USB drives on the computer; i.e. the GREEN light doesn't come on. I did plug the keyboard into my laptop and the green light came on, so I am thinking it isn't a problem with my keyboard. I have plugged and unplugged the keyboard, trying to restart computer without DEVISES plugged in as well as having devises plugged in on other REBOOTS. I have tried plugging keyboard in to other USB drives; tried both on the back panel of the computer and in the four drives on the front of the computer without any success.You will need to borrow or buy a PS2 keyboard/mouse combo... Actually what worked to resolve the issue was to unplug power source for a period of time - I was away for a few hours - then plug it back in. Computer now working.
