Answer» Hello everyone,
I got the website designed and it looks wonderful in both Chrome andFirefox. But the trouble started with Internet EXPLORER . The menu on the left side went into disorder and the background gradient is nowhere to be seen . I have no idea of how to fix it . The website is here at http://www.drjaredcooper.com/index.html .
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot ! AkashIt's a problem with how IE is handling CSS. When viewed in IE9, the site looks fine until you switch on Compatibility View - so clearly it's a problem inherited from older versions of the browser.
Here's how I usually approach this problem: Selectively delete sections of the CSS, reloading the page each time, until I find the code that is causing the problem. Then carefully examine that code and see how I can reproduce the effect in an IE-friendly manner (using condition stylesheets if ABSOLUTELY necessary). If you happen to use a new-ish version of Dreamweaver, its browser compatability checking is top quality.
