Answer» This is crazy, I have five devices assigned to one IRQ and it should not be working (look at picture). I have asked two of my friends that are computer engineers but they have no idea why or how it should be working. The question I am ASKING is how can I make it correct it and why did it go haywire? I first found out about it because Oblivion has not been working, and I have been in contact with Bethesda for a few weeks, and they said I have to REASSIGN them.
I asked them how I could do it but they told me to contact my mobo MAKER, which is Gigabyte. I have found out that due to the Chinese new year, they will not respond till 11 Feb 08 and even then, I have never been satisfied with the tech support of Gigabyte.
This post is not RELATED to my other post about the RAID 0 hard drives.
PC specs: Gigabyte GA-N680SLI-DQ6 rev. 1.0 Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.2 GHz EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS 640 MB 4 GB of OCZ SLI-ready RAM 500 GB Hitachi HHD Windows XP Pro SP2
That does not look out of the norm for Windows XP. My screenshot is from a Dell Optiplex 745.
[FILE cleanup - saving space - attachment deleted by admin]I can understand if they are the same device but why are my video card and TV tuner are on the same one. The GBB36X is my RAID controller but I do not have any RAID devices (yet).Unused devices will sometimes still be listed/assigned an IRQ...this is Windows. Are there any conflicts ? ?
