Solve : Is my CD-RW drive broken?? |
|
Answer» Quite a while ago I wrote some CDs which were 1x-4X discs, but I'm sure the CD-R drive on the computer is 10x-24x (or something along those lines). Since writing these 1x-4x CDs Nero and other CD writing programs seem to think the maximum speed the drive can WRITE at is 4x. Anyone know how to switch it back to the old settings? Because at the moment it can't write anything! Quite a while ago I wrote some CDs which were 1x-4x discs, but I'm sure the CD-R drive on the computer is 10x-24x (or something along those lines). First of all when you talk about 1X or 4X you are talking about a DVD not a cd ....there is a big differance. Typically a blank cd DISK will handle a write speed of from 1X to 48X ........depending on your cd rom ....A DVD on the other hand is differant animal . dl65 |
