Answer» I bought a new computer about 1 year ago. since then i have been upgrading it piece by piece. However I am not sure if it is running as quickly as i would guess that it should with what i have put into it. I tend to get about 25 fps in Portal (the only game that i have actually checked FPS on) when i am standing still in a normal room looking around. I have included some of the information that i got off of EVEREST, please LET me know how you think it should run games. If you need any more information let me know.

Low end graphics card, older CPU, and a fair amount of RAM. If you're into gaming I would DEFINITELY recommend a new graphics card, that one is not very powerful at all. Also, a new dual core CPU would help. Vista will also sap your gaming performance compared to, say, XP, but I'm not recommending that you change your OS if you're happy with Vista. However this isn't really about upgrading, this is about your performance, which does seem about right to me.
