My room MATE was given an old computer while helping a friend move. He knows nothing about computers and I KNOW the bare minimum.....is this computer worth setting up & using?
  Here are the specs:
   Hewlitt Packard Pavilion XE744
   Windows ME
   733 MHz
   63 Mb
   20 Gb

Certainly. A decent 32 or 64MB videocard would fit in perfectly with the specifications.

The computer would even be suitable for Windows XP. Should you wish to install Windows XP, I would advise to install at least 256MB RAM.Product information, HP Pavilion xe744 Desktop PC (US/CAN)THX! I'll give it a TRY!
