Recently, my monitor has started to "frizz" out as in it will flash, turn black and stay like that until I reboot.

The games are still running, and the music is still playing and such, but the screen is black.  If i wait a long TIME, my screen will come back, but it will be screwed up and I am unable to manipulate anything.

Running a Nvidia 8800 GTS with a Samsung Syncmaster 2220wm

32 Bit Vista with ADM dual core processor with 4 gigs of memory and ETC...



I was running dual monitors for a while, but I thought this might be the problem so i stopped that...the issue still happens though, so I've at least narrowed it from that.  I've installed the newest monitor drivers and the newest video card drivers, and I'm still having the problem.  I can't really recreate it other than by USING the computer for a while.  Seems to only happen when I am playing games though.


try the moniter on a different computer if it works then it is your video card or VIS versaOk, I'll try that
