Answer» i got a GATEWAY 300s turned it on after it had been sitting for 2-3 weeks power light comes on that it no keyboard light no sounds no fans no monitor opened her up the power supply has a test button and an assoc grn led so i push it NOTHING some one told me it could be a pwr inverter or the m/b oh BTW all cables and cords are OKBorrow and swap in another PSU of the same or greater WATTAGE and see... NOTE if its an older DELL UNFORTUNATELY you need a DELL PSU...I replaced batteries in my electric razor because I thought they were faulty. I failed to realize that the power plugs were dead. Thank goodness my GF tried to fire up the hair drier before I tossed out the razor. Lack of sleep tends to mess up my troubleshooting. I'm simply trying to say check the power plug source is good.
