Learn the ALT code for the letters Y and y. Y =089 y = 121 Program a key you never use to be Y. Use the on screen keyboard. Get another keyboard and plug it into the laptop. -- OR -- Clean the keyboard. Of couse, if you are not very careful you will damage it further.
