Why dont you just change the monitor? I dont REALLY think its that hard..I CHANGED the monitor out on this laptop, it's not that difficult but please don't attempt it if you don't know what your doing, it could end in a situation worse than this one.
In my honest opinion, it is get the laptop monitor changed and by a prof if you don't have the skills/knowledge.My laptop is a vaio. The lcd is smooshed. I have been using an external modem but the connection soured *not sure if its the vga port or what..the monitors GOOD. I want to access my files but can't configure "blind" to my LAN. I have no more ideas how to access without total fix. Remote access? Bios hack? Handicap options? Search me. Any Ideas?Vista home premium.If the access to your data is your primary concern, remove the HD from the laptop, buy an HD-USB drive adaptor and connect it to another computer. Your wasting your time thinking this laptop is going to repair itself.not that I think it's gonna fix itself, I just want to view and groove on the cheap. I have been fiddling around with windows narrator and am close to establishing a network lol.
