Price then quality to be honest.Why not just buy a battery from HP?Google laptop battery, and you will get a thousand choices. If you have a local Batteries Plus that's a good source but they don't sell on line.HP COMPARED to internet stores are a bit pricey.
Not knowing squat about batteries can I assume correctly that if the specs are IDENTICAL the batteries are of equal quality ?

Yes, you can save money by not buying from HP. I suggest amazon.com. They usually have some buyer reviews, pertaining to the seller, which may be helpful.
