Solve : Laptop can't find wireless.?

Answer»

Hi, I've seen some posts similar to this, but nothing quite right...

I have a laptop, which has always picked up the wireless internet broadcast from my home desktop, through a D-Link router. There has never been any worry before.

But now, my laptop cannot find the wireless network at all.

The problem can't be with the router, because my brother picks up the internet with his laptop here, but it's also not with my laptop, because it can pick up wireless internet at other places as well.

If anyone can save me, or POINT me in the direction of another POST, it would be more than helpful.

Thanks!Just thought I'd ADD...
Home desktop is a Dell Dimension 8300, running Windows XP SP3.
Router is a D-Link...DI-624 (That's what it says...).
Laptop is an Acer Aspire 5634WLMi.

If anyone needs anymore SPECS or anything, let me know.If the internal card receives other Networks, and skips yours, then some
thing is not set correctly to match the Card with the wireless source. May
be this can Help.

1. The laptop that is having trouble is the Acer?
2. If yes, what is the OS and SP?
3. The brother's laptop that works is using what OS?
4. The Dell Dimension 8300 is a desktop and is hardwired to the router?
