Solve : laptop display, soda spots? |
|
Answer» I have a laptop that although it works, there are spots on the SCREEN from a soda spill. It is between the protective layer and the lcd screen. Is there a way to get rid of the spots? All though they are transparent, when using a PROGRAM like word, were your screen is bright, the spots become apparent as they make bright spots on the screen. Those soda spots are basically dried sugar. Unless you have the technical skills to take it APART and reassemble it, you are very likely SOL.I've had it apart several times for other reasons (keyboard, power switch board, ribbon cable) At one time I thought to fix it but once I'd gotten the lcd out I couldn't see a way to remove the protective layer. It seems to be glued to the front of the lcd, yet the soda GOT through? |
