Answer» the other day i tured on my dell laptop and noticed on the screen that there was a transparent thick, reddish tinted line running vertically. here is a picture: http://i27.tinypic.com/11c8vo8.jpg the line is really starting to annoy me, can anyone tell me how to fix it? thanks Maybe make sure you have the LATEST video driver. Like the model number of the laptop, how old it is, did you notice ANYTHING strange prior to the start of the PROBLEM, have you installed or removed any hardware or done anything else that might have caused it? Is the red line visible from the MOMENT you turn on the laptop?
