I'm new here, my name is Chris. I have an old Samsung VM8000 series LAPTOP running XP Pro. It runs fine, and I use it for basic office work etc.
Recently, I used it for a powerpoint presentation, and everything ran smoothly. However, since then, I have had problems with its SCREEN.
When I turn the laptop on, it displays the STANDARD boot info on the screen, and then shows the Windows XP loading screen. However, after it shows the Windows XP loading screen, the monitor goes black, but the laptop continues running.
I think it is possibly something to do with the way I used a projector with the laptop for my presentation, but I have tried using the "CRT/LCD" switch button a few TIMES, and the screen remains blank.

ChrisCan you do a system restore?i would SUGGEST reading the manuel if you have it and also try going to a site that has troubleshooting about it. `Also try connecting a projector to it and see if that works.
