Solve : laptop overheats? |
|
Answer» Hi, I have a Dell INSPIRION 5150 3 GHZ 528 mbs. That seems to always overheat. They had an issue with the way they were BUILT that would cause them to overheat. So I opened it up cleaned everything and put artic silver on the processor. Well the computer still overheats. So I have to use a program to clock down the processor. Any ideas what to do now? Oh yeah and I called up Dell about the issue and told me I was sol.Does it over heat if you just turn it on and leave it alone? If it is ok by itself what are you doing when it starts to over heat? Can you see/hear the fans running or feel air coming out of the exhaust vents?it overheats when I start to watch videos. Yes the fans are on. I use a program to control fan speed and put them on max so it won't overheat as fast. What I personally did was put the laptop somewhat HIGHER. Attach those rubber thingies at the feet of FURNITURE if you know what I mean at the four corner of the laptop. This will help somewhat. If that doesn't solve the problem, I'd put a fan next to the laptop.I think you've tried almost everything I could suggest. |
