Solve : Laptop power adaptor?

Answer»

I bought my laptop about a year ago, and apart from several grievances it WORKS. But my adapter recently stopped working so I ordered a replacement for it, another was sent matching the correct power specs of 19.5V and 7.7A. This adapter was faulty and a replacement was issued, HOWEVER the power specifications are now 19V and 7.9A. I tried it anyway and the laptop will receive charge from it but now the thing can't boot the SSD.
I was WONDERING if the change of adapter COULD have made this happen or some other reason.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, thanksSome other reason. It's possible, though unlikely, that the adapter is to blame. A lot of the cheaper off-brand adapters (mainly from China and southeast asia) are unreliable and can actually fry your computer though what you're describing sounds a little different. There ya go. I took a cursory look at the site and it's all cheap "compatible with" adapters which are not from the original manufacturer. NEXT time try getting a Genuine OEM/brand name adapter used off eBay if you're looking to save some money.
