Solve : laptop powers up then powers down right away?

Answer» Hello. I recently had to replace the dc jack on my sister's laptop. It is a dell precision m65. Once i had soldered the new jack to the motherboard the system would power up then shut off right away again. I figured that i ruined the motherboard while soldering so i ordered a new motherboard. Once I installed it, the laptop did the exact same thing. the lights would come one when i hit power then just shut right back down again. Any help would be great. thanks.That Dell may also have a VOLTAGE REGULATOR board.
