Answer» Quote from: computeruler on June 03, 2009, 07:44:27 PM no you dont need a QUAD core. A very low dual core and that x1300 I would say would do it. I think even a single core processor would be able to play the HD content with the right VIDEO card if you're not multitasking like a madman. Like I believe my Athlon64 3500+ desktop with the 9500GT would be able to play HD DVD's and Blueray's ok if I had a blueray or an hd dvd drive (which I don't) and I was not doing ANYTHING else on my pc except WATCHING the video. ... But these days, it's really hard to not get into at least dual core processors and apparently the better computer SPEC you got (laptop or desktop doesn't matter) the better entertainment you will get.Why don't you guys simply take a test from my reply #9, so you know? So, I ran the test, and it looks like I was right from the very beginning. My dual core CPU barely passed with recommendation to upgrade, RAM (2GB) was OK, video card was OK. But, that was only for basic playback. As for advanced playback, only my internet speed was fine... Mine said everything was fine |
