Answer» I have a Compaq Presario V3700, and it won't turn on unless I hear it up for a while with a hair dryer. I don't use the battery anymore since it doesn't seem to be working. I heat up the power button, touchpad, and backside where the battery goes. After a while of heating I plug it in and it will start. Nothing else will WORK, and I'm wondering what the ISSUE is and whether a new power cord and/or battery would fix this issue or if it would NEED to be taken apart and repaired. It's a pretty old model so I'm thinking of just buying a new ONE soon, but for now a quick fix would be nice. Any HELP would be appreciated, thanks!Sounds more like the system needs to be taken apart and cleaned properly.
