Answer» hey GENTLEMEN (and ladies), i have a quick question about newer laptops that won't power on. (seems to be common with new HP laptops which, btw, suck.) What do you GUYS think the most likely cause of this is? That is, for ones that can receive power (dc LIGHT comes on), but won't power up? Without more information that is impossible to say. It could be a bad power supply, damaged battery, a loose connection somewhere, a dead BIOS, etc.well it's not battery ISSUES because an ac adapter should be enough, I power most of them on without the battery INSIDE. I'm starting to lean towards a bad motherboard. Thanks for your input.
