Answer» i am trying to set um a new samsung lcd monitor to my computer but i KEEP geetting a message about optimum setting. I am un able to change the mz on my computer. It says the video card is generic. should i try to load the software driver BEFORE i connect the monitor?What is the exact message you get? And what is the actual problem? Does the monitor work or not? Also, most monitors do not need a driver to workthe monitor work for about i minute then goes blank. there is a message that says not optimum performance then gives resolution numbers (i already fixed that part) and 60mz. i think that that is the part that i need to fix. the monitor works fine on my other computer which is not even as good as the one i want to put it on.That Vid card might not be CURRENT enough to SUPPORT that monitor...
