Solve : Light goes on, but computer won't turn on!? |

Answer» My computer wouldn't power up so I bought a new power supply. I installed the new power supply and the light on the front goes on and then fades out after a few seconds, but the computer does not actually turn on (the power supply fan does not MOVE). I thought maybe I got a bad power supply so I tried it in my other computer and it worked fine. I'm thinking that maybe it's the MOTHERBOARD or power on switch, any suggestions?it might be the power switch, but are u talking about the TOGGLE power switch on the BACK, or the push button power switch on the front?The push button on the front.My FRIEND's mobo fried and it did that. The light would come on but nothing would happen. Can't remember if the power supply fan spun though... |
