Solve : line out(2) only 1 works?

i' have an old presario 5000la with 2 audio line out but only one works.
The obvious first: Have you ensured that the second output is not muted? It will have a SEPARATE control under the volume mixer.I don't have the option to control the second outputBring up the volume control. Click Options-->Properties. Under "SHOW the following volume controls", check all the boxes. Click OK. See if you have the correct colume adjuster now.I don't have it.
I wonder if there's any software like realtek soundman (avrack), to control the audio, my SOUND card is ess allegro.are u 100% sure that they are both audio outs? not one in and one out?

also what speaker setup do u have...

Yeah you do, although your soundcard software may have "HIDDEN" it. Go to Start-->Run and type "sndvol32" [Enter].
