Answer» Hi i've spilled tea over my keyboard, turned it of waited 2 days and all that.
Some buttons are not WORKING, my Caps lock key produces a infinite random string of letters locking my PC. Same thing happens when I plug in my USB external keayboard.
Does this mean the keyboard on the LAPTOP is fried, or does it needs a good clean?(which I might be able to do myself) Why would the external keyboard Caps lock do the same infinite loop and lock the pc even after I DISABLE the laptop keyboard. Also if replacing would i need the whole inner cover or just the keyboard. Please share your thoughts.
Laptop is a lenovo Y540 15IRH.
Thank you for any replies Your keyboard is not washable like some lenovo keyboards. I would disconnect the internal keyboard , unplug it. Then test the laptop with the USB keyboard if it is working ok . Then get a replacement keyboard for your laptop. Better replace the keyboardI will disconnect it as you advise, I've also used the on board keyboard but again caps lock makes the pc go crazy, lucky its only the caps lock key the rest of the keyboard and pc SEEMS to be working fine, I might just have to learn to live withous a caps lock.
Thanks for the reply.
