Answer» Hello,
Back in 2001 the company hosting my site went out of business and later I dropped the URL for the site www.sperainc.com
My problem is I would like to reset the localhost on my computer. I am unable to use the current setting at spera01.sperainc.com [127.0.0.1]
My research for this has uncovered the following:
Default name describing the local computer address also known as the loopback address of the computer. For example typing ping localhost would ping the local IP address of 127.0.0.1 (the loopback address).
I am having a problem using visual studios for ASP.NET projects because the current http://localhost/etc
The message I receive is this:
The default web access mode for this project is SET to file share, but the project folder at http://localhost/MyWebCalculator cannot be opened with the path c:\webworkshop\www\MyWebCalculator
The error RETURNED was:
Unable to create web project MyWebCalculator. Unable to create the web location c:\webworkshop\www\MyWebCalculator Access is Denied
That location was used many YEARS ago with a dreamweaver project and I would like to shift my focus from that drive and folder to d:\localhost(new folder).
I am at a loss as to how to proceed.
All assistance will be APPRECIATED!
Thanks, John
