Answer» Any RECOMMENDATIONS for a capture card? My price range is $50 or lower.www.tigerdirect.com has some for under $50, but the one I bought for $19.99 was a pain to get working. Made in CHINA and Bad Documentation. I got what I paid for, troubles at first getting it to work, and its so so now. Not top of the line quality, but it does the TRICK. DPI is kind of grainy!!! OK I just realized something, I don't know if this will work. The digital cable box I have has a FireWire (1394) port. My computer does too. Will that work? And will there be sound? You'll still need a card to translate the signal...I thought firewire was for audio/video signals?It is...but without a card the computer has no idea what they are coming from a cable box.

You'll still need a card to translate the signal...I thought firewire was for audio/video signals?It is...but without a card the computer has no idea what they are coming from a cable box.
