Answer» Hi all,
I was doing a part-time job at a clothes SHOP which can not access the Internet. Recently, someone broke in the shop and stole some expensive jeans. The shop MANAGER is looking for some hardware to set up a surveillance system, and she wants the hardware to CAPTURE continuous videos to be accessed by her at home. But the problem is that the shop does not have any equipment necessary to access the Internet.
Are there any hardware that can help her solve the problem?
Thank you.
KittyWithout knowing more of what you need, here is a low end solution. You buy a number of small, battery powered MOTION sensitive spy cameras. The look like ornaments or something common.
When thee is any motion in the field of view, then start to record. They can record up to an hour of low end video onto a SD chip. Later, you can download the video via USB and look at the footage with any media player. It is common AVI format. With sound.
The go for about $150 a pop. Which is reasonable, considering that they are small, automatic self-contained units for a very specific use.
And no, I am not in the spy camera business, but I happen to have a some I got for my own use. Works find. The thing is, you have to manually connect it to your PC to see what you got. A vat playing in the store can start the recording. Some kind of intrusion detector would be helpful.
But setting them up for Internet upload would be a real chore. This link is NOT a recommendation. Just for reference. http://www.homespy.com/ They have stuff you might want, buts looks pricy to me. Not without an Internet connection...No. Unless she wants to wait til the next day when it's too late...Since you didn't mention it, I'd get a burglar ALARM before I would worry about a surveillance system.
Tiger direct has a variety of surveillance systems.
