Answer» My WESTERN Digitial WD1000JB drive WENT up. I sent it to a data recovery place and they were SUCCESSFUL in getting some but not alll data off of the bad drive. With additonal parts from a like drive, they felt they could GET more data from this drive. I am looking to buy a WD1000JB-32CWEO (Model) drive that was built with a MONTH or so of 1/28/2002 and has a DCM number of DREABT2CB. Anyone know how to try to find such a drive? Thanks. Frank How much is this company charging you?That model number is no longer manufactured. No major store stocks it, you might find one on eBay. Is it really worth all the trouble and expense?Must be some valuable data. You could get a new one cheaper than this, I'm sure.
