I lost my thumb drive      It has important files on it.  I've looked EVERYWHERE.

All I can come up with at this point is that my cat ran off with it, somewhere.

If you lost a thumb drive, where would you look?   



In the Dryer....excellent guess... but I just had it a few days ago and haven't done any laundry since then    try to ask index drive middle drive ring drive and baby drive they migth have bumped each other while thumb drive is running away from you.. lolzTry looking near kitty litter box or under the couch or bed.yeah why not to try lookin under the *censored* blanket... lolI've looked everywhere.........I'm just about READY to give up...

I don't know where is could have gone...  Just a few nights ago I did a Linux installation on an old laptop and I remember plugging the thumb drive into the usb port

 Maybe it was the gnomes. *censored* them linux gnomes. Anyway was there anyone in your HOUSE that could have moved it? That is an idea. Ask people around you if they seen it.I  carry mine and I've found it in the cushions of the sofa, lazy boy, and once in the car when I pulled out change at the drive thru and I later found it tucked in by the seatbelt assembly....did you check your POCKETS?  I usually find it in VERY obvious places...I lost a flash drive a couple years ago. It was missing for about four months. It ended up being behind/under the seat in my TRUCK. I guess it fell out of my pocket while I was driving.heh, yah gotta watch out for those darn gnomes 


So far I've looked in all suggested places..  I've searched the car thoroughly..

It was under a chair, which I already looked under...   

It's interesting what turns up when you are rearranging the furniture in your home I once lost a 'thumb drive' for about 2 weeks. It was plugged in the back of the computer.
