Answer» I have a old Dell Dimension 8400 that I need to get up and running for my son, But every time I boot it up it says I have low battery power. I guess I need to replace the battery but I WANTED to make SURE of this by asking you guys first. can I ORDER a NEW battery from Dell or can I get one from best buy or a computer store?. It has windows Xp OS on it. Any help would be very appreciated.The CMOS battery, which is the small battery on the motherboard, can be purchased at a pharmacy or even a supermarket. This is the common CR-2032 model battery; it's about the size of a nickel (5 cent) coin. I bought one at the local Kroger supermarket about a month AGO, for about $3, as I recall.
