Answer» For no "apparent" reason the sound from my desk TOP SPEAKERS has become very low. I first just assumed it was the speakers as everything I checked seemed OK, they were 10 YEARS old anyway. The new set has the same problem, very low sound. I have checked all VOLUME settings and hook ups and there are no conflicts shown within the device manager.
I am tempted to disable all of the devices in the "sound, video and game controller" icon as suggested in the trouble shooting guides and let windows find them again after I reboot. But I am afraid that I will simply loose everything in that icon. Any suggestions? Thanks.
