Solve : MAC-Transferring HDD's from one MAC to another Mac? |
|
Answer» I have aPower Mac 7200 with Os8 operating System.I am getting READY to retire it . It has a 40 meg HDD in it that has some Programs (Microsoft Word) and a lot of files on it that I would Like to install on its replacement which is a MAC G-4 with a OS 10.6. Is there a reasonble way to simply remove the 40 Meg HDD and installit in the G-4 with all data and programs intact, thus giving me 2 HDDs in the G-4? Any Info on this subject would be appreciated. Thank YouFrom what very little I know about Apple hardware, I would say it is not possible to just plug it into the G4 motherboard (the older Power Mac 7200 USES the SCSI hdd interface). |
