Solve : Make XP Seem Exactly Like Vista - Free!?

Answer»

I found this and it is extremely neat. I love it. It doesn't really slow down my computer, but it looks awesome. It does change everything; log on on screen, icons, task bar, title bars, sounds, etc.... it is sooo neat, I thought you would love it too.

NOTE: The solitaire game didn't come with the bricopack, I got a download link off these forums a while ago to download Vista games on XP.

here a are few pictures I took;

I don't know if I can trust that............. and what is that bar at the top of the screen? With the computer, control panel, firefox, etc buttons. Can you get rid of that? And is it easy to uninstall if it causes problems?yes that bar at the top is kind of like a quick icon bar, and also you can make it so that when you minimize things it goes to that instead of the taskbar. you can add new icons or get rid of them, change fonts, change titles, etc. Yes, very easy to get rid of. And i dont know about UNINSTALLING because I haven't actually done it yet. I am very pleased with it so far.But... it doesn't look like Vista at all, save for the Taskbar at the bottom...I'll try it, but I can't download it for some reason. I told my friend to try it and it worked perfectly. It just says "425 Failed to ESTABLISH connection." In IE, it says page cannot be displayed.Quote from: Dilbert on February 08, 2008, 07:45:21 AM

Really? I haven't had much experience with Vista but from what i know about it it does look a lot like this.Not to forget the start menu and the clock in the System Tray. Start Menu should have a search box above "All Programs" and the clock doesn't look like that. I can post a guide on how to make your computer look like Vista without these "BricoPacks".the clock is something entirely different that i installed seperatley on my computerAhh, OK.http://www.stardock.com/

Have anyone of you try it?It's SAFE and i think much more cool than the original one, no disrespect gamerx 365 Quote from: kuszmania9999 on February 20, 2008, 09:31:00 PM

VERY buggy and slow. I installed LogonUI, and when I start my computer the next day, it took 5 minutes to load the logon screen. Also, I forgot the name of the application, but I know it was all the StarDock software rolled into one, but when I tried that application, nothing seemed to work.yeah, it depends on computer hardware anyway..my pentium 4 2.4Ghz do the same..so i just stick with the old windows xp theme...and also isnt stardock only a trial? i hate trialsQuote from: gamerx365 on February 21, 2008, 07:22:58 AM

Me too. But Bootskin is free, isn't it?If you're going to run any version of Stardock apps make sure you have a full system backup image to fall back on...
