Solve : maxtor slave drive?

1.	Solve : maxtor slave drive?
Answer» I have bought a Maxtor 80GB hard drive to use as a slave on my PC running WIN 98SE. At first installation it worked fine but recognised the capacity of the drive as only 8GB. I removed it to check the drive and now can't even get the drive recognised in windows, even though it is listed on the boot up screen. I have installed it with no JUMPER as per the instructions. Does anyone have any IDEAS?Repartition it properly.Replace the jumper back to slave > format it and fdisk it again.
