Answer» I installed new memory module from Dell in a Dell computer. Now the computer won't boot up . It keeps on beeping, but does nothing else. Thanks to anyone who can answer the question. JerrySwap the STICKS. Maybe the new one is slower than the old and should be in the FIRST DIMM slot instead of the second. Or maybe it's defective, in which case you should send it BACK... Remember, UNPLUG the power SUPPLY before doing anything with memory, CPU, video card, or PCI bus cards. Take static electricity precautions.
