I had this custom built. I have 2 500's to make up 1gb.
I have 3 slots TOTAL on this board with "of course" 2 slots taken, but one is still open. I have a few 256 chips hanging around and was wondering if I could add it to that one slot.
It's been awhile since Ive messed with cp's, but If memory serves, I can only add another 500 chip and not anything else.
Ive never delt with a board that has 3 slots, only 2's and 4's.
Can I use a 256 in the open slot?
TANKS!! renaldoaoa1....Well the first thing to do is dig out your mobo manual and see exactly how MUCH ram it supports ..... then check to see if your spare ram is the same TYPE .....if your board will support 1.5 gb ......then you should have no problem adding another 256 kb stick ( as long as its the same type)
