Answer» I added 256mb of memory to the 128mb that was already installed last night, the computer recognised it and was running much quicker....but....it wont CONNECT to the internet, but when i removed it again, the internet worked again, i am running Xp Pro....totally baffled...any SUGGESTIONS would be appreciatedwhat internet connection have you got?using ntl cable broadband via ethernet cardhow may spare banks ...for your ram have you got...and can your pc handle more ram?2 banks in total, it can handle 512mb of ram so ok thereSee if using two Identical RAM sticks works?does the event ERROR log in admin tools report anything. what HAPPENS if you remove your nic card and re-boot ..leaving the ram sticks in place....I havent tried that yet, but will reinstall it and see..THANKS
