Answer» What makes a Mouse " OPTICAL " ? I want a Wireless Mouse with the "roller ball" on the BOTTOM. Are mice with balls on the bottom passe' ? Optical mice seem to be the standard-seriously. Mice with balls are difficult to find ANYMORE...just think of it as the "FEMINIZATION" of mice. Does OPTICAL mean the balls are on the top ? I HATE THAT !!!!!!! Too much manual dexterity. Will I not find a wireless with balls on the bottom ?No - the things with balls on top are trackballs. By "optical mouse" mouse people are referring to the mice that emit a light from their base. This reflects on a surface; the reflection is then measured, and by this MEANS the mouse detects motion on a surface. |
