Answer» XP SP3, COMPAQ Presario V6000 I have built in mics on my laptop, and they worked last TIME i tried them (about 2 weeks ago (way after installing SP3)) and i tried them today and cannot GET a signal out of them. They only thing i can think of is i tried a DIFFERENT mic in the mic in line on my computer, and they worked - i hadn't tried my built in mics since then. I have tried various ways to test them, but have had no joy. Any ideas?Updating drivers for your mics? Device Manager->Your mic->update/repairall APPEARS fine...
