Solve : Microsoft's "Unfair Advantage"?

Answer»

No, this isn't a rant. But I'm just wondering, what gives Microsoft the right to take down any website they think is going to kill their monopoly? I MEAN, they removed KoL's VistaXP theme, they removed the AutoPatcher.com download page, what are they going to do next?

If they kill Firefox, then those barstards can go rot in *censored*.I think Microsoft is rich.... ,not fair......COL!I don't think they can kill firefox. Firefox has Google's full support, in both code and cash and probably other avenues as well.

Really??

That explains Firefox STARTING with the Google search page...Ya, if I remember right, Google "donates" around $55 million a year to the mozilla foundation.Quote from: michaewlewis on January 07, 2008, 08:57:59 PM

Whoa, that's a lot of money.here's a link about firefox and google: http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=07/11/11/2036218Unfair advantage?
I think not.

Those software that patch >their< UI system are illegal, and violating copyrights beyond your imagination.
The only thing they can do to get new users to buy new computers with their newer kernels is to make it look different. So, the obvious solution is to make sure that NO ONE trys and makes a way around that, they are a business, and if they STOP making money, they will stop making products. With the people they employ, it wouldent take very long for their company to start really running down with the current spending's of Microsoft are the moment.

Consider this:
My school out in a town with a population of about 1300 and a total of 300 students grades K-12 (I have around 33 people in my graduating class, 28 last year) wouldent have new technology if it wasnt for the extra money Microsoft donated to my school to buy new technology. We now have new computers that run nicely.
Buy more Microsoft products! Support my school!
I see your point.
Didn't realise that in the first place.Quote from: michaewlewis on January 07, 2008, 08:57:59 PM

if i could get 0.05% of that, i would be happy...and google's pretty rich too aren't they? Quote from: C.C.2020 on January 16, 2008, 01:03:07 PM

Certainly, not near as MUCH as Microsoft.

Its Bill Gates goal to make the Microsoft Cooperation money go back to the public through the Bill and MELINDA Gates Foundation. Who here has read the book 'Breaking Window's"? It's about Microsoft... it's a really good read. After I read it I stopped hating Microsoft as much...When I finally woke up and realized that the entire world relies on Microsoft, I stopped hating them. I said to myself, "If Microsoft didn't exist today, where would I be?".I don't hate Microsoft. I use their products 12+ hours a day. It just kind of drives me crazy that they make everyone believe that there are no other options besides Microsoft. I forget what the word is.... monotony... monogamy..... oh wait.... monopoly.
