Solve : Minute electric shock while touching Monitor? |
|
Answer» Hi is there anybody out there who can let me know how to prevent the monitor from giving minute electroc shock ? can anyone tell me the reason behind this and how to prevent it ? it happens when i touch the monitor screen!!!!Well man I think it is normal. It is due to earth. Secondly there is no need to touch the screen of the monitor. You can also USE screen filter to prevent this.thanks !!! i will try to get monitor filter (screen filter) and i want to know does it affect the performance of my pc or monitor It is the static CHARGE that builds up across the face of the monitor and is due to the high voltage applied to phosphors to make them glow. The static charge itself is not dangerous but voltages inside the monitor are extremely so. All monitors and TV sets that use a CRT do this. The only way to prevent it is to not use it. If you need to clean the monitor, TURN it off and wait for at least 30 minutes for the charge to dissipate. Otherwise, You will just have to endure the small shock.I really don't know if this will help but when you turn on the monitor you should hear a noise as the de-Gaussing cuts in. |
