Answer» Hi Everyone, My name is Richard and I'm new here. I have looked at a few forums but found the posts and advice in this forum to be genuinely helpful and not sarcastic , so if its OK I would like to ask for some help.
My knowledge surrounding printer problems is rubbish I'm afraid, I've always been lucky enough to plug and play and everything just work!
That's until today.
I have purchased a used Mitsubishi CP9550DW-K Photo printer. The paper and ink ribbon are loaded correctly.
The drivers were obtained from Mitsubishi's website. This was the first problem. Windows (xp) said that the driver did not contain information for my device. I had to tell it manually that it was a printer and point it to the driver file.
First attempt to get the machine to work failed. It powered up OK self tested and reveals the ready status. When trying to print nothing happens. I downloaded a different driver and print profiles from a New Zealand Mitsubishi site. Again it wasn't straight forward to install but at least this time when I press print the data light on the printer flashes, so I am getting somewhere. - But it still doesn't print. I've messed around with this now for 8 hours straight and just can't get any further. One thing I did notice. When I look at the Print Processor for my CANON printer it is listed as Canon, For the Mitsubishi it uses Winprint? could this be the problem, Print processor? I'm not even SURE what this is or how to update a new processor file - if one exists. I hope someone may be able to help. Of course it could just be that the printer is broken. How can i tell?
Thanks for reading. Ps Just noticed, the USB input on my canon printer has a solid plastic bit in the middle - where as the Mitsubishi has what looks like four pins in the center. Is this anything? This sure looks like some fantastic printer. I (as probably most other CH forum members) will not have had any experience with this unit. However given that you purchased it used you may not have the manual for it. On your behalf i did some research and i have found a U.K. web site that is a distributor for your printer. I am including the link as they have a lot of internal links to your printer including the manual. Wish i could address your issue more specifically but PERHAPS with the manual your solution may be found. GOOD luck, truenorth http://www.systeminsight.co.uk/Mitsubishi_CP9550DW.htm P.S. If the solution isn't forthcoming from the link provided maybe an e-mail to them explaining your issue may bring results. hello, have you solved your problem with the printer? I have the same problem ... help me! He's been gone for 6 Years...
Start a new Post with your issue so it can recieve the proper attention...
